ACES Workshop

The ACES Workshop is a free student run club program offered by North Idaho Aerospace Program. ACES stands for Aerospace Center of Excellence Sandpoint. It is our airplane building program that meets once a week and is open to all students from the northern counties of Idaho. The primary focus of ACES is to teach the art and science of building aircraft. With the guidance of experienced FAA-licensed aircraft mechanics, aircraft builders from the EAA Chapter 1441 and other volunteer aviators, students learn blueprint reading, aircraft structures, electrical and technical system by actually building a real aircraft. These completed projects are then successfully flying aircraft that then sold to the public. All profits go directly back into the High School Aerospace 501c3 non-profit to support the next project.

Whether aviation is a career goal or a life long hobby, ACES offers an extremely unique opportunity for any student willing to participate and learn with. We are passionate about this program and hope to help students from all walks of life achieve success in their aviation endeavors.
